Special education teachers, parents, and students faced unique obstacles from school closures due to COVID-19.  Now as we prepare to head back to school, there are a whole new set of concerns to consider.

Speaker:
Kerry Agins, Special Education Attorney at Agins & Gilman, LLC

In the second part of our three-part Summer series, special education attorney Kerry Agins will provide an update on COVID-19 educational considerations and the reopening of schools in the Fall. What have we learned and what are we still grappling with as we look toward schools reopening next month?

Highlights of the Discussion

  • What do the guidance documents from the Ohio Department of Education and Ohio Department of Health require for schools to reopen?
  • What different models of education are being announced from our area schools?
  • What are some specific questions for parents to ask of their school district as we plan to return to in-person instruction? What about for students planning to stay on remote instruction?

Do I need to register?
